Recruitment Advice

Recruitment Advice

1.      Talk to as many sisters from all the sororities as possible! The more you get to know each sorority, the more certain you will be about which you fit in best. (Remember at least ONE name of a person from EACH sorority each day).

2.      Come in with an open mind! Even if you’re drawn more to one sorority at first, you might end up fitting better with another as the week progresses.

3.      If you’re having a difficult time choosing between sororities, try to choose the sorority where you know you could grow and be the best version of yourself, not the sorority with the cutest T-shirts or the most delicious food. Remember: This is a lifetime commitment.

4.      Get your homework done early in the day so you have no worries when attending the events. You can even sneak in a nap during your break to have more energy once the events start at night.

5.      Do your research on each sorority’s mission and philanthropy to see if it’s something you’re interested in. Social media is a great tool to look around for more information.

6.      If money is an issue, don’t give up hope. Ask if there are payment plan options; chances are that the chapter will most likely be willing to work with you.

7.      If you don’t get a bid the first semester, don’t be discouraged and please try again the following semester! We like to see those that are persistent.

8.      Ask questions! The recruitment directors and Rho Gammas are there to help you, not scare you away!

9.      Bring a positive attitude and be yourself
